Earlier this week, Meghan Markle surprised everyone by presenting Givenchy’s artistic director, Clare Waight Keller, with the womenswear designer of the year award at the 2018 Fashion Awards. While all eyes were on the reunion between Meghan and her beloved wedding gown designer, eager eyed fans have also noticed a moment on stage we didn’t catch.
As Clare is accepting the award, Meghan can be seen behind her holding the bottom of her bump. Suddenly, Meghan begins to cradle her bump and jolts, closing her eyes in the process. Explaining the sudden two-hand cradle, that drove the nation wild when pictures were released, fans are convinced she felt the baby kick.
Posting the adorbale moment on Twitter, @_Pammyy tweeted: 'She felt that kick. Now everyone can calm down about her holding her bump, stay pressed.' Responding to the criticism Meghan faced for cradling her bump on stage, many fans are now asking trolls to leave Meghan alone and stop criticising her for every little thing she does.
‘Baby Harry 2.0 🤣🤣🤣,’ one fan responded on Twitter, ‘Probably doing somersaults in there! Knows something different is going on & got excited!’. ‘Baby Sussex is having a whole party in there,’ another added, ‘She had to close her eyes 💀’
With Meghan rumoured to be around 6 months pregnant, it’s more than likely Meghan can feel movement by now. However, with confirmation from Kensington Palace only stating that Baby Sussex is due in Spring, there is some doubt about how far along she is, given her and Harry only announced the pregnancy in October.
Regardless of when she is due, Baby Sussex is clearly kicking up a storm, and with Harry’s genes in there, there’s no doubt the baby will have a lot of energy.

Meghan Markle
Meghan received criticism following the British Fashion Awards, as some branded her cradling her bump 'smug' and felt it looked as if she was acting. However, the two-bump hold is a known technique of hypnobirthing, which Meghan is said to be practicing, alongside the fact that it's literally no one else's business how Meghan decides to hold her bump during her first pregnancy.
Maybe, instead of chastising Meghan for everything she does, down to where she places her hands on her own baby, we can just let her live her life? Women in the public eye, let alone pregnant women in the public eye, take more than enough criticism without people perpetuating the ongoing lamenting of famous women for every little thing they do.
So let's all take a break, and instead watch the adorable moment she feels her baby kick on repeat, it's Friday after all...
