Will Meghan Markle's Mum Be Wearing Burberry To The Royal Wedding?

While everyone is eagerly waiting for hints and revelations about who Meghan Markle will be wearing at her wedding to Prince Harry this Saturday, let's cast our sartorial eye elsewhere for a moment. Because word on the internet is that Meghan's mum, Doria Ragland, will be wearing a dress by a certain British designer for the occasion.

Yesterday afternoon, the DailyMail snapped pictures of Doria leaving her house in California for LAX airport (to fly over her for her daughter's upcoming nuptials, of course) carrying an all important bag - a Burberry garment bag. Cue the fanfare and excitement over the assumed confirmation of at least someone's wedding outfit.

It would be fitting for the mother of the bride to wear a distinctly British brand for the big day. There is also the possibility that the Burberry garment bag is all an elaborate ruse. There is every possibility that Doria just happened to have a spare Burberry garment bag lying around and was using it to transport an ensemble by a whole other brand. The item she's pictured carrying might not even be to wear for the wedding, but rather for other engagements she's no doubt got lined up while she's in the UK. Who knows? But, admittedly, we'll go with whichever speculation better fits the elaborate fairytale storyline that the world has attached to the Harry and Meghan wedding. Here's hoping for co-ordinating mother-daughter dresses...
