Earlier this month, Harry and Meghan shocked the world when they announced that they were stepping down from senior royal duties. In their initial statement, the pair said that they planned to split their time between North America and the UK, while they become financially independent.
Now, reports are saying that, after spending some of their summer in Canada, they plan to relocate to Los Angeles, Meghan’s hometown, for some of the summer. ‘They have started to look at homes online and are in the process of interviewing security teams,' a source told E News. 'They are getting their ducks in a row and seeing if it's logistically possible.’ The source added, ‘They've reached out to people in L.A. and would like to assemble a team of locals.’ The relocation would make sense, as Meghan’s mum, Doria Ragland, lives in the city.
In her first statement on Meghan and Harry's future as royal family members, Queen Elizabeth II said that the couple will live in Canada and the UK during their transition period. ‘It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK,’ she said. ‘These are complex matters for my family to resolve, and there is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days.’
And also, in more royal news, yesterday, a source told Us Weeklythe 38-year-old is ‘actively looking’ for a manager or agent for future projects. They said, ‘Meghan is actively looking for representation. She has begun outreach. It can be a manager or an agent, but she’s reaching out to people to find someone to represent her for future professional projects.’
Meghan and Harry are yet to comment.
