With Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, solidifying her roots in Canada, it is only a matter of time before a whole new social circle forms in the North American country. Meghan is, after all, supremely well-placed to start a new life there with husband Prince Harry and son, Archie: she lived in Toronto for several years while filming Suits. But, for now, she is focusing on Vancouver. She is staying on Vancouver Island, and has been spotted in the city several times this week. While she is sure to build new friendships and allegiances in the coming year, some older faces will surely be with her every step of the way, creating a Vancouver Vanguard that's set to become the most talked about social circle on the continent. Here's who's in Meghan's circle.
Heather Dorak
Heather flew in on Friday morning, and was picked up at the airport by Meghan, a sign that the duchess is set for a newer, low-key life. Heather is based in LA, where she makes a living as a Pilates guru. Indeed, the pair met through the fitness sensation, and Heather attended Meghan's wedding in 2018, with her husband Matt Cohen.
Misha Nonoo
Misha is rumoured to be the Cupid responsible for setting Harry and Meghan up in the first place, as she is a friend of both. She is based in the UK and New York, but Misha has now announced that her label - Misha Nonoo - is going to Toronto on a 'styling tour.' It is not impossible that Meghan would make the journey to the city to see her old friend, or that Misha would make the trip instead.
Jessica Mulroney
Meghan's best friend - and unofficial maid-of-honour - is currently on holiday in Jamaica. But she is sure to see Meghan as soon as she returns. She and her family - husband Ben Mulroney, and their three children - are based in Toronto, and have regularly hosted Meghan both before and since she became a member of the royal family.
Katharine McPhee
It has been years since Katharine McPhee - singer and theatre star - last saw Meghan, having met through their stage careers. But she could return to the fold. Katharine's husband, music producer David Foster, coordinated Harry and Meghan's stay in Vancouver, allegedly connecting them with the owner of a mansion there. 'I felt honored that I was able to help Meghan there because I'm a Canadian and we're a commonwealth country', he said. 'It's important to us, so I grew up with that kind of sentiment.'
Abigail Spencer
The actress has known Meghan ever since they met at an audition, but they solidified their friendship by working together on Suits. Abigail isn't based in Canada, but could make the journey north from the US: she is thought to have visited Meghan, Harry and Archie over their Christmas break.
