Marc Jacobs Got Married – And the Guest List Was Everything You’d Hope For

There was no doubt that Marc Jacobs' wedding to his long-term boyfriend, Char Defrancesco, was going to be a glitzy affair. Jacobs' penchant for the theatrical extends far beyond his catwalk presentations – this is the man who staged a flash mob in Chipotle in order to propose to Defrancesco, after all. But the nuptials, held in New York City over the weekend, surpassed our expectations – largely thanks to a guest list that was more impressive than fashion week.

The supers were out in force. There was Naomi and Kate – who took her 16-year-old daughter, Lila Grace – as well as Helena Christensen and Christy Turlington. And the Insta-generation of models, too, turned up for the celebration. Gigi and Bella Hadid arrived holding hands in their co-ordinating trouser suits, while Emily Ratajkowski looked typically incredible in a bright yellow, halterneck dress. Christina Ricci looked excellent in her blue dress by new cult label Batsheva, while Anna Wintour also turned up, wearing – what else? – sunglasses.

Chloë Sevigny, Justin Theroux, Amber Valletta, Rita Ora, Kaia Gerber, Lil Kim and Debbie Harry were also among the guests, making for a seriously impressive table plan, we'd imagine. Oh, to be a fly on the wall of that party...
