Maddie Ziegler Models In Sparkling Magazine Shoot

Maddie Ziegler is just like any normal 13-year-old. Except that she dances in Sia's music videos. And features in modelling shoots. And guest edits magazines...

That's right, the former Dance Moms star has just been unveiled as star of the latest issue of Paper magazine – it's YOUth issue – in the capacity of both model and guest editor.

In a colourful, sparkling, dazzling shoot – photographed by JUCO and assisted by make-up artist Mia Yang – Maddie was 'let loose', the magazine explained.

And what did the young star make of her makeover? Well, this... 'Though I do love experimenting with make-up, I also want to stay my age and I don't want to look older than I am.

'I've had to do make-up since I was 5 years old because of my dance competitions...I started learning on my own and trying things ever since.'

Maddie shot to fame through her appearance in the immensely popular music videos of Sia where she performs dance routines in the guise as a Sia 'mini-me' (the Australian singer is renowned for being media shy).

Maddie is also known for her role in Dance Moms, the reality TV show where the lives of young dancers at the Abby Lee Dance Company are chronicled. Last month, however, she announced she was leaving the show to focus on her acting...

And we wish her the best of luck – though if the ease with which she morphed from dancer to model/editor is anything to go by, we doubt a leap into acting will be too far to jump.
