Now, this is a crossover we didn't see coming... Last night we were introduced to 11 newLove Island contestantsincluding Tasha Ghouri,the shows first ever deaf contestant. In 2021Too Hot To Handle took Netflix by storm and has continued to be a rival dating show for Love Island. But apparently the similar shows have a lot more in common than anyone thought. There is a secret Love Island and Too Hot To Handle dating crossover that has now been revealed.
It turns out Tasha Ghouri and Too Hot To Handle's Robert Van Tromp used to date. And recently. In fact their romance ended in March – just three months before Tasha was announced for the ITV2 series. Before entering the villaGrazia quizzed Tasha on her dating past, including any reality stars. She teased, 'Well, wouldn't you like to know? I might have, I might have not.' Adding, 'I'm going into this villa for, celebrity or not, I'm looking for someone special in my life.'
According to theMailOnlineRobert, who starred on Too Hot to Handle last year, is devastated to see her on the show searching for love. The close source also alluded to the fact that the reality star was hoping to rekindle their connection. 'Robert is gutted after seeing Tasha on Love Island,' the source told MailOnline. 'She ticks all his boxes and he had hoped to reconnect with her after regretting their break up.'
They add, 'Tasha is the one that got away and he believes he let a gem go, watching her on the show this summer won't be easy for him.’ The exes reportedly met in October 2021 and dated for five months. The islander told Grazia that that her last relationship (which was with Robert) ended 'mutually.'
Robert was last in a relationship with his former Too Hot to Handle co-star Christina Carmelaafter the pair met on the show. They split in September 2021, a month before Robert allegedly met Tasha on a dating app.
Tasha told Grazia about the type of man she's looking for ahead of her Love Island stint - revealing that she's got very high standards. She said,' I need someone who's confident, honest and sexy.' Well, her journey on the hit ITV2 show is off to a flying start. The dancer is currently coupled up with real estate agent Andrew Le Page, but has set her sights on Italian bombshell Davide Sanclimenti.
