Love Island'sFaye Winter and Teddy Soares are still going strong after falling in love in front of the nation last summer. But as we saw on the show, they didn't have the smoothest journey. 'People had a lot of doubts about our compatibility, 'says Teddy. 'We've definitely grown throughout our relationship. We will never sit here and say our relationship is perfect - we still bicker like every normal couple,' he says.

Faye admits, 'I'm going to say it - the bad stuff that happened in the villa was all down to my insecurities and I was very insecure as a person. She continues, 'I didn't want to give that softer side of me away.' On reflection Fays says she's actually glad that her vulnerable side wasn't shown on tv, 'It's something that’s very private - Teddy got to see to see it in the villa, but not many other people got to see it.'

She reveals that this is the first time she has been able to let down her walls, 'Teddy has pulled that slide out. Faye explains, 'I've never been this way in relationship where I can communicate with somebody and not feel like I'm being judged. Teddy never calls me crazy or psycho - you know, those famous words that men love to use on women,' she adds.

Have they watched the show back yet? Teddy confirms, 'We haven't watched it back, no.' Faye adds,' It's like watching back what you've lived. So, I can imagine that it would be quite difficult to watch it back.' She pauses. 'There will definitely be parts that I won't want to watch but at the same time, it's our journey.' Teddy says,' I'm sure at some point we will, I don't know when but we're not in any rush.'

Faye recently opened up about having a suspect mole removed, she was inspired to get a check-up after Teddy's involvement in ITV show The Real Full Monty. The premise of the show is to raise awareness for cancer and celebrities perform a strip tease in front of a live audience. 'The first doctor said to leave it but another doctor came in and said, "No, we're going to remove that."' Faye is still waiting for the results but insists, 'It's probably going to be absolutely nothing – but opening up about the scare wasn't about the end result, it was about raising awareness.' Teddy chimes in, 'You need to check out anything on your body you're unsure of and make use of the amazing facilities we have.'

Although Teddy instils confidence in her mole removal scar by nicknaming it her 'battle scar,' Faye say's it will take time to get used to it. 'I'm known for flaunting my body around on TV in a bikini and being pretty confident, to now having this scar which I'm not used to.' She continues, 'Instagram creates this world where everything has to be perfect all the time - but that’s not the reality. Faye adds,' It’s something I've got get used to but it's nothing that I'm ashamed of.'

Since opening up about her mole she has received hundreds of messages on Instagram from people who have also been inspired to check their bodies and push for second opinions.'That's literally all I could have wished for,' she concludes.

This Valentines, the couples are working with Lovehoney to spread sexual happiness. Teddy remains tight lipped on his plans for the romantic day. He says,' 'I've got to keep my plans a secret but Faye is the one.'

What's next for Faye and Teddy - a Selling Sunset spin-off? Faye says with zero hesitation, 'Find me a show and I would do it in a heartbeat!'
