Much to the delight of fans, Lindsay Lohan has made her long-awaited return to music. The singer dropped the music video for new track Xanax, telling fans on IGTV that the single is about ‘letting go of the past’ and ‘moving forward’.

‘'This video is a compilation of vignettes of life,’ she wrote in a caption. ‘Family, love, the process of moving forward and letting go of the past. To live and be happy, free of fear. Just to be grateful and open our eyes to our opportunities instead of numbing the mind.’

Mysteriously, the video has been deleted from her account - but you can watch it below (because we all know that nothing really disappears from the internet).

The Blast previously reported that Xanax was inspired by the 33-year-old’s ‘personal life, including an ex-boyfriend and toxic friends’.

Lyrics to the single include, ‘I got social anxiety, but you’re like Xanax to me. When you kiss me, I can’t breathe’, and the video features a compilation of photos and video footage of Lindsay and others.

The track also features Finnish popstar Alma, who has previously worked with Charli XCX and Miley Cyrus.

As Dazed{ =nofollow}pointed out, Xanax is built around a sample of Alice Deejay's Better Off Alone.

The last time Lohan released music was in 2008, with her track Bossy.

In June, Page Six reported that she had re-signed with Casablanca Records and Republic on a joint deal to record and release her third studio album.
