It's gotta be kinda weird, acting with your parents... especially if one of your parents happens to be Johnny Depp. Strangely though, Lily-Rose Depp doesn't think so. In fact, she said that working with her dad and mum (Vanessa Paradis) on her new movie Yoga Hosers was 'the most fun part' of it.
Speaking to V magazine about the film, directed by Kevin Smith and co-starring his daughter, Harley Quinn Smith (incidentally, Lily-Rose's best friend), the 16-year-old actress/model revealed: 'The most fun part of making the movie was being able to learn and experience everything for the first time with people I love and admire.'
She also credited director Smith, saying: 'Kevin really helped me come out of my shell as an actress. Being able to feel free and comfortable in your character’s skin is so important.'
Cute!
On the subject of inspiration for her character in the horror-comedy – a film about two teenage yoga and punk rock aficionados who team up with a legendary man-hunter (Johnny Depp) to fight an ancient evil – she said she looked to 1984 film Gremlins and nineties classic, Clueless.
'I've actually seen both of those movies countless times,' she said. 'I think Kevin couldn't have said it better – consciously or not, I definitely drew inspiration from those films.'
