Love Island winner Paige Turley might have joked that her ex, Lewis Capaldi{ =nofollow}, wouldn’t be getting a share of the winnings - but the pair still remain good friends. Speaking yesterday, the reality star revealed that she reached out to Lewis to congratulate him on his two Brit awards - and that in turn, he said well done for her Love Island victory, which she won with her boyfriend Finn last month.

‘I actually text him to say congratulations on his Brits,’ she said. ‘Yeah he text me back to congratulate me on Love Island so it’s good but I haven't really had a chance to catch up with anybody.’

At last month’s ceremony, Lewis marked his win for Best Song Of The Year with a reference to Paige, clarifying that Someone You Loved is not about the reality star. 'Contrary to popular belief,' he said, 'a lot of people think this song is about my ex girlfriend, who you can now see every night on Love Island. It's actually about my grandmother, who sadly passed away a few years ago.'

He previously joked that he should get a cut of her £50,000 prize - which Paige split with boyfriend Finn - but Paige said there wouldn’t be a chance as she needed to pay off her debts. 'That's just Lewis, it comes as no surprise he said that. But I can't give him any money because once I pay off my debts there'll be nothing left,' she said in an interview with the Sun. But, to be honest, with last year’s best selling song, and album - and two sold out gigs at the O2 in March - we doubt Lewis is that disappointed.
