Lady Kitty Spencer - niece of Princess Diana - is converting to Judaism for her fiancee Michael Lewis, according to reports.

The Sunday Times claims that Lady Kitty is taking preparatory classes to enable her to marry her fiancee. The pair got engaged to in December.

Converts of orthodox Judaism are expected to follow Jewish principles, including observing the Sabbath, following Jewish dietary laws and joining a synagogue.

Lady Kitty will also be expected to learn to read Hebrew if she is to convert successfully and the process could take up to a year to complete.

The pair, who have a 30-year age gap between them, have been together since 2019. Michael, who is the chair of the Foschini Group, proposed with an estimated 30 carat diamond ring in Cape Town last Christmas.

The age gap between the couple has hit headlines since the pair got engaged, as Lewis is five years older than her father and Princess Diana's younger brother, Charles Spencer.

The fashion tycoon, who has an estimated net worth of £80million, has three children from his previous marriage and they are reportedly in their 30s.

Lady Kitty isn't the only royal set to tie the knot soon though, as Princess Beatrice is set to wed in May. Cressida Bonas and James Middleton, who both have royal links, are also getting married in 2020. We're sure our invitations are on the way.
