In October this year the internet was once again undefeated as Kylie Jenner’s wake up song for Stormi became a viral meme, alarm tone and dubstep track, and we still can’t stop laughing.
You might remember that Kylie Jenner gifted the internet with a tour of her Kylie Cosmetics office while the team were at an offsite meeting. The space not only included a photo studio, several glam rooms and a champagne vending machine, but also a playroom for Stormi – who was taking a nap during filming.
After taking the camera crew on a tour of her offices for her YouTube channel, Jenner shows viewers into Stormi’s room, saying she was going to go and wake her up from her nap. Twitter was quick to point out that, although we see Jenner turn on the playroom light in the video – the camera crew would have had to be in the room in the dark with Stormi to film Jenner coming in.
Even more hilarious than that realisation, though, is Jenner’s wake up song. ‘Ruhhh-iiiseeee and shinnneee-uhh’ she sings to Stormi – who is of course already awake on account of the camera crew in her room – and the internet has been howling with laugher ever since.
Kylie even shared a video of her playing Stormi the song, and her reaction? To ask Jenner to play her father Travis Scott's music instead yikes.
Now, Kylie Jenner has performed the viral hit once again, at a charity event hosted by Justin and Hailey Bieber, and the crowd - including Jaden Smith - lost their minds.
Kylie Jenner even applied to trademark 'rise and shine' in clothing and cosmetics, according to The Blast.
The filling hasn't stopped the meme train from running, even Arianna Grande has asked if she can use the sample in her music. Jenner’s response? ‘Yes you can @arianagrande, as long as I’m in the music video.’
If you need us we’ll be googling how much a champagne vending machine costs, and playing the dubstep remix of Jenner’s wake up song until further notice.
