Congratulations are clearly in order for Kirsten Dunst, who has been proudly displaying a dazzling engagement ring as she attends the couture shows in Paris.

Earlier this month, sources confirmed that the 34-year-old actress is engaged to her co-star Jesse Plemons, who has presented Kirsten with a seriously dramatic piece of bling: a band fashioned from yellow-gold, set with an oval-shaped diamond.

Speaking to Us Weekly, diamond expert Michael O’Connor estimates that the stone is 3 carats, with a probable value of $80,000, revealing that ‘oval diamonds are getting a lot of play of late with celebrities.’

The actress was spotted comparing rocks with model Arizona Muse, while sitting on the front row at Ralph and Russo’s haute couture show in Paris, and happily posed for close-up shots of the ring.

Kirsten and Jesse met while filming the second season of Fargo, the TV version adaptation of the cult Coen Brothers film, in which they played married high-school sweethearts. The pair are thought to have got together last May, and sparked engagement rumours earlier this year when the actress was spotted wearing the diamond ring at the Palm Springs Film Festival.

Kirsten, who previously dated her On The Road co-star Garrett Hedlund, has previously spoken out about her desire to eventually get married, revealing to InStyle last year ‘I am someone who wants to get married.’

If it happens in my mid-to-late 30s, it’s going to be intimate,’ she added. ‘Courthouse, dinner party and DJ with friends and family. I’ll treat it like it would be my 40th birthday.’
