Kim Kardashian West and Madonna have recently been spending a fair amount of time together – they hung out at Guy Oseary's Oscars after-party last Sunday, and earlier this week, took part in a panel to discuss their respective beauty businesses KKW Beauty and MDNA.
But the conversation didn't solely stick to all things beauty related. During their discussion, Kim revealed she has long since been a fan of the Queen of Pop's – since childhood – not least because the singer once moved in with her manager, who happened to live next door to the Kardashians.
As the song goes, good neighbours make good friends, and that's exactly what Madonna appears to have been. As revealed in the panel discussion – and again yesterday through Kim's most recent Instagram post – Madonna once gifted her and her sister Kourtney some jewellery.
As the reality TV star recalled: 'I remember so vividly her coming in one day in ripped jeans and a white t-shirt and these combat boots and she had dark short hair and this leather jacket and she just walked in and she was like, "You know what, girls? I’m over these bracelets." And she took off her bracelets and gave us these black rubber bracelets.'
Madonna quipped, 'I was so stupid, by the way. They don’t make those bracelets anymore!'
But that wasn't all the singer gave to the Kardashian sisters. She returned with a box full of neon jewellery – such as bracelets and earrings. As Kim wrote in her Instagram post, 'We went to school bragging hard but no one believed us!'
Kim also shared with fans how she and her best friend Allison Azoff once watched Madonna shoot her Cherish music video in Malibu on the beach, directed by Herb Ritts.
A star-struck Kim growing up to host panels with her childhood hero? That's Like A Prayer being answered, right?
