Earlier this month, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom called it quits after a year-long relationship.
A spokesperson for the couple told People, 'Before rumours or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time'.
The news may have come as a surprise for some, as the pair were pictured at the Vanity Fair Oscars party just days prior to the announcement. But a source revealed to People: 'They got together for a photo, but that was about it.'
Yet despite their split, the former couple are reportedly still in close contact. A source told E News that Orlando is 'cool' with ex-girlfriend Katy, revealing that they 'still text and talk'.
The pair have also been seeing each other despite their split, as Orlando hinted that he babysat Katy's dogs while she performed at the iHeartRadio Music Awards:
Proof that the pair may be getting back together?
The source also hinted at what could have caused the split as they added: "He [Orlando] is just not ready for a serious relationship, but getting back together with Perry is not out of the question."
Orlando has yet to speak out following the split, unlike Katy, who took to Twitter to criticise the media for suggesting that their break-up was anything but a caring decision.
The singer then went on to debut her post break-up haircut, as she shared a video of her new blonde pixie on Instagram.
When debuting her new look on Snapchat, Katy also took the opportunity to stress her need for privacy as she wrote: 'There are other more important things going on in the world. Tune into that'.
The former couple began dating in January 2016 and made their romance official (sort of), as they were both spotted donning Tamagotchis at the Met Gala in keeping with the ‘Fashion in an Age of Technology’ theme.
And who can forget the iconic pictures of the couple paddle boarding last August with Orlando in his birthday suit?
But the former couple have not had any time for frolicking in the sun this year, as they have both had hectic schedules. The 32-year-old singer has been busy promoting her new politically-charged single, ‘Chained to the Rhythm’, in the UK and US while Orlando has been working with UNICEF in Differ, Niger.
The news of their split still comes as a surprise however, as a source told People back in August: '[Bloom] would love to settle down with Katy and have more kids.'
