Last month, Katie Holmes confirmed her romance with Emilio Vitolo - with pictures from the MailOnline showing the pair looking very cosy while on a dinner date in Manhattan. The pair had initially been first linked a few days before, but the PDA truly established that they meant business, and ever since there have been a steady stream of new sightings. Walking through New York hand in hand, kissing through masked faces: it's definitely official.
The pair - who are thought to have been together for around two months - haven't had the perfect start, though. Reports state that Emilio had a fiancée, Rachel Emmons, who he was living with until recently. And reportedly he broke up with her by text just before the pics were published.
Yikes.
'Up to this press coming out Rachel had no idea what was going on,' a friend told the MailOnline. 'He is a cheater, and this isn't a happy ending story.' (As we said, messy.)
It's Katie's first public romance since she split from Jamie Foxx last year. The actress was married to Tom Cruise, with whom she shares daughter Suri, from 2006-2012.
So, who is Katie's new man? Emilio is a chef - and presumably a very good one, as he works for his father Emilio Vitolo Sr. at Emilio's Ballato restaurant in SoHo, which has a host of high-profile fans such as Whoopi Goldberg, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Bradley Cooper. He is also friends with the Jonas Brothers and has been regularly photographed with them at parties.
But, as well as being a chef, the 33-year-old is an actor, who has appeared in shows such as Inside Amy Schumer and Royal Pains. And, according to his IMDB page he will next be seen in the film, The Birthday Cake, which boasts a cast of Ewan McGregor and Val Kilmer. So, it looks like Katie and Emilio have something in common with acting.
Katie was last seen with Jamie at the Met Gala in May of 2019 - their first and last red carpet appearance as a couple. The pair, who were thought to have been dating since 2013, kept their relationship very private. Following their split, insiders told People that the relationship had run 'its course' and that there were no hard feelings between the pair.
