The Duchess of Cambridge. On the two-day solo trip, Kate also visited nurseries, promoting the work of her Early Years campaign. But a comment she made on the trip has everyone thinking that the mum-of-three would like another royal on the way.
Kate has admitted being 'broody' before, and, after talking to parents at Copenhagen's Children's Museum, she said it again, then explaining: 'William always worries about me meeting under one-year-olds. I come home saying, "let's have another one".'
It's not the first time Kate's eagerness for another child has been reported on. When the Duke of Cambridge visited Clitheroe Community Hospital in Lancashire last month, he joked 'don't give my wife any more ideas' as he saw a staff member holding a baby. And when Kate met a five-month-old at an engagement in 2020, she admitted she was 'broody' again, saying: 'It makes me feel broody. You’re a very sweet little boy. I think William would be a little worried.'
As Grazia reported this week, it's believed the Cambridges are seriously considering moving from Kensington Palace to Windsor with their three children, George, eight, Charlotte, six, and Louis, three, as it's thought the pair would like to move George and Charlotte to new schools in September, when Louis is about to start reception. 'They want to be nearer the Queen so Windsor makes perfect sense,' a royal insider told us. 'They also want the children to go to country prep schools with more space and sporting facilities.'
They added, 'In the past, Catherine has described living at Kensington Palace as like being inside a gilded cage and at times both she and William have felt a little trapped. All of their staff work there, their office is based there and so moving out of town would give them a greater separation between their home and work life.'
