Renowned for his catchphrase ‘How You Doin’?’, his womanising demeanor and love of food - the actor quickly garnered a mass following.
But back in 1994, another famous face auditioned to play Joey in the hit series. Yes, we can't imagine anyone else playing Joey either...
But apparently, casting director Ellie Jenner turned down Vince Vaughn when he audtioned for the role. Yes, seriously.
Yet the actor didn’t let the disappointing news get him down, as he went on to star in indie film Swingers two years later as a Joey-esque character named Trent.
Vaughn has gone on to carve an acting career for himself while Matt Le Blanc went on to star in spin-off series, ‘Joey’, until 2004. The actor later turned to the UK, after bagging a spot on the newly re-vamped series of Top Gear late last year.
