We’re not exaggerating when we say Selling Sunset has basically been the best thing about 2020.
All our other fave shows might have been cancelled or pushed back thanks to the global pandemic but thank goodness we’ve had the antics of Hollywood’s sassiest property agents to keep us entertained.
The reality show returned bigger and better than ever for a third series earlier this month – which we binge-watched in no time at all – and fans are absolutely obsessed... But it turns out one of the show’s stars doesn’t feel the same.
Jason Oppenheim, owner of The Oppenheim Group, has admitted he regrets putting the firm forward for the Netflix show as he didn’t realise it would be filmed and edited the way it is.
'Had I known the show would be this focused on our personal lives I probably wouldn't have signed up for it,' he told Hello! magazine. 'I wanted it to be all about the nuances of real estate, but I now realise the show I envisaged wouldn't be that popular. I've come to accept the idea that I'm on more of a reality show than a real estate show.'
We can’t blame him tbh – the show does tend to focus of the dramatic personal lives of the agents, like Christine Quinn and Chrishell Statuse’s bitter feud, but we absolutely LOVE it.

Selling Sunset cast
Chrishell Stause then
Chrishell - who was married to This Is Us star Justin Hartley - has been our TVs since 2005, when she started off her career as a soap star. One of her best known roles came starring as Amanda Dillon on the soap opera All My Children from 2005 to 2011.
Chrishell Stause now
Chrishell is now worth a nice £4million after making the career change. (Not that we're jealous at all!)She is now also dating her boss and co-star Jason Oppenheim - we are now eagerly awaiting season 4..
Davina Potratz then
Just like us in 2012, Davina was fan of a retro-looking Instagram filter. And just like most of her colleagues, Davina started out in entertainment - so she's always been perfect for the show.
Davina Potratz now
At £1.6million, Davina is now one of the richest agents on the show.
Christine Quinn then
Christine Quinn has wiped all evidence of herself from before the show from the internet, but we're guessing as she started in the entertainment industry, and featured in Vogue, that she has always looked this glam.
Christine Quinn now
But her style has changed a lot over the seasons, something she's spoken about with Grazia. 'I am pretty extra and over the top, you know whether cameras are there or not,' she said. 'Every time that I'm out of the house, I love to dress up and I have so much fun with my fashion. I've loved putting more time and money into my wardrobe for the last two seasons which I really wasn't able to do as much in season one. It takes a lot of money to look this cheap! If someone says, "You look like a stripper", I'll say thank you.' We cannot stress how much we love her. She is worth around £1.6 million and is sure to earn more with a string of side hustles! Christine also welcomed her first baby with her husband Christian Richard in 2021,
Maya Vander then
Maya is one of the most private members of the show, her husband doesn't appear on the show and we don't actually know how old she is.
Maya Vander now
But still, it doesn't matter, as Maya is one of the most popular women on the show - she even has another job flogging homes in Miami. She is worth an estimated £800,000. Maya is also a mum of two and her third child is on the way!
Heather Young then
Oh, the days of these Instagram edits! Heather actually started her career at 18 as a model, and has done shoots for publications such as Playboy in the past.
Heather Young now
Now 32, not only is she now worth a nice £800,000 from selling homes to celebrities. Heather is also engaged to her 'soulmate' Tarek El Moussa after one year dating. Congrats! It has not been confirmed whether or not Heather will follow in the footsteps of her co-stars and have cameras be present at her wedding. Mary's wedding was shown in season two while Christine's wedding was shown in season three.
Mary Fitzgerald then
Mary has been working as an estate agent since 2008 - and if you glance through her Instagram, you'll see that she's been long committed to a glamorous red-lip/leather jacket look.
Mary Fitzgerald now
The red lipstick remains! Mary returned to Los Angeles in 2014 to join The Oppenheim Group - and, you guessed it, is also now a millionaire. In season two Mary got hitched to her boyfriend Romain. It is rumoured in season four she will open up about her journey to freezing her eggs.
Amanza Smith then
Amanza specialized as an interior designer for eight years before becoming an estate agent, meaning she used to stage homes for the Oppenheim Group. She was also married to former NFL player Ralph Brown, but they separated when her two children were one and two years old.
Amanza Smith now
We first met Amanza during series two, but she has been friends with the Oppenheim twins Jason and Brett for twenty years. She's also another member of the team estimated to be worth £800,000. The real estate agent is looking forward to season four of the Netflix show, and told Radio Times, 'I'll be able to incorporate my kids a little bit more in the show. 'People really loved seeing the scene with me and my kids.'
