When Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was arrested in New York on sex trafficking and racketeering charges last month, following an ongoing investigation and multiple allegations of sexual assault and abuse, people wondered when the rapper would eventually face trial. The musician – also known by P Diddy and Puff Daddy – was indicted on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution following two raids on his properties in LA and Miami.
The musician, 54, has faced a series of allegations from sexual assault to abuse, including by his ex-partner Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura. Since his arrest, 120 new accusers have come forward with new allegations, 25 of whom were children at the time of the alleged offences. Combs has denied all the claims against him.
On Thursday 10 October, the ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ rapper’s trial date was set for May 2025. Combs was present at the Manhattan federal court hearing, where he blew kisses to his 84-year-old mother Janice and children. Arriving at the court building, Combs’s family were shouted at by a crowd, with one heckler shouting, ‘Your son is a predator and he deserves to be locked up.’
Combs has seven children, who appeared with him last year on the Paramount+ show Family Legacy. The oldest child is 33, while his youngest is just one year old. Here’s everything you need to know about them.
Who are P Diddy's children?
Quincy Taylor Brown
Combs’ eldest child Quincy is 33 years old. His biological parents are singer Al B Sure and Kim Porter, the late model and Combs’s ex-partner. Kim and Combs dated on and off from 1994, when Quincy was just three, to 2007, and the rapper eventually adopted Kim’s son. The couple would go on to have more children together before they split, with Kim dying of pneumonia in 2018.
Quincy now works as an actor, musician and model, and has credited Combs with his drive. ‘I'm very much into the art of acting, and then there's music. But just seeing how he's able to handle and juggle all these things, I took that from him as my most major takeaway,’ he said in a 2023 interview.
Justin Combs
Justin, 30, is the eldest of Combs’s biological children; his mother is designer Misa Hilton-Brim. Over the years, he’s appeared on shows like My Super Sweet 16 and Catfish, and has been romantically linked to the likes of Saweetie and Lori Harvey.
Christian Combs
Christian is another child Combs had with Kim. The 26-year-old is a rapper who performs under the name King Combs; he has more than 2.5 million followers on Instagram, and collaborated with Chris Brown on the song ‘Love You Better’ in 2018.
Last month, following Combs’s arrest, Christian, along with Quincy, D’Lila and Jessie released a statement slamming reports online claiming that their late mother had died before been able to release a 'tell-all' autobiographical book. ‘Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother,’ they wrote. ‘We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives… Her memory should not be tainted by horrific conspiracy theories.’
Chance Combs
Chance, 18, is the daughter of Combs and his longtime associate, Sarah Chapman. She works as a model and, despite having a different mother to Combs’s twin daughters, is extremely close with her half-sisters. The three siblings appeared in a 2021 issue of Vanity Fair along with their father.
D’Lila & Jessie Combs
Twins D’Lila and Jessie Combs were born just five months after Chance and were the youngest children of Combs and Kim. Their mother died when they were just 11 years old, so the girls, now 17m were raised by their father and siblings. Following Combs’ arrest, they’ve been living with their late mum’s best friend Lawanda 'Lala' Lane, and last week visited their dad at the detention centre.
Love Sean Combs
At just one year old, Love is the youngest Combs kid, with a pretty hefty age gap between her and her siblings. The infant’s mother is Dana Tran, with Combs announcing their daughter’s birth back in December 2022. ‘I’m so blessed to welcome my baby girl Love Sean Combs to the world,’ he wrote. ‘Mama Combs, Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie and myself all love you so much! God is the Greatest!’
