London's most exclusive postcode is bringing plenty of drama in the form of Made In Chelsea Season 29 - however, fans saw themselves endure an emotional ride during one recent episode. James Taylor and Maeva D'Ascanio candidly opened up about their marriage troubles, leaving many questioning whether the once loved-up couple are still together.
Getting ready for a double date with Tristan Phipps and Jules 'Muffin' Pollard, the vibes seemed immediately off between Maeva and James. When James asked when their honeymoon stage ended, Maeva replied 'Ages ago. I can't even remember.'
Maeva then branded James' claim that he's still in the honeymoon phase as 'bullshit,' with the MIC star responding to his wife, 'That's not a lie. I am obsessed with you. I'm addicted to you.'
Things then went from bad to worse. As Jules and Tristan opened up about not neglecting their passion and sexual chemistry as they grow closer, an emotional Maeva broke down at the table. 'We're struggling at the minute, we're going through a tough patch,' James revealed. 'We try to communicate but we find it hard with each other. So we see you guys communicating and it probably rips off the bandaid.'
A teary Maeva added, 'We just can't stand each other anymore, huh? There's love, but love is not enough sometimes. I think we love each other, but we don't like each other.' Adding that it 'hurts to make effort with each other,' the French-born star - who shares son Beau, two, with James - then left the restaurant.
Later on in the episode, James admitted to Tristan, 'I don't know how Maeva and I have got to this point, but this is the lowest we've ever been. She threatened to leave the other day.' The MIC star then revealed that the couple would be heading off on to Italy to spend some 'quality time' together, saying, 'I think we need it.'
It's not the first time Maeva and James - who tied the knot in 2023 - have faced some fiery problems. Last year, Season 27 saw a row unfold after James suggested the newlyweds see a sex therapist. An irate Maeva insisted she couldn't prioritise sex as she was too tired from raising their young son, adding, 'I'm worried for our future if it's starting like this.'
Of course, the latest drama has left many fans wondering whether James and Maeva are still together. While there doesn't seem to be any major confirmation of how their marriage is doing, it appears the couple are still together. Their last social media post together was in March, when Maeva posted a video of her and Tristan enjoying a lunch date in Knightsbridge.
