Gwyneth Paltrow starred in the movie Contagion - and with the current coronavirus outbreak{
In Contagion, a 2011 thriller about the rapid spread of a virus, Gwyneth starred as Beth Matt Damon, Jude Law and Kate Winslet. Nodding to the film, she added, ‘I’ve already been in this movie. Stay safe. Don’t shake hands. Wash hands frequently.’
Alexa Chung has also spoken about the virus on Instagram, re-posting a quote which says, 'The coronavirus is not a foreign threat, but a human one. Racism and xenophobia targeted at Asian communities will not protect us from a virus that does not discriminate based on race, gender or colour.'
A number of European countries, including France, have now announced their first coronavirus cases, with them all appearing to link to Italy. The NHS says that: 'UK Chief Medical Officers have raised the risk to the public from low to moderate. But the risk to individuals remains low.'
This morning, there have been two more cases confirmed in England, bringing the total number of UK cases to 15. They have been transferred to specialist NHS infection centres in Liverpool and London, the Department of Health said.
