As the BAFTAs after-parties were winding down in London, the A-list of the music world headed to another awards ceremony in LA: The Grammys.

Adele, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Celine Dion were all in attendance at the star-studded soirée, which took place at the iconic Staples Centre in Hollywood.

Unlike the BAFTAs, the Grammys red carpet is always a little more risqué, with some popstars donning looks perhaps best reserved for the stage.

While some of stars got it so right (see: Solange, Adele and Jennifer Lopez) some were a little more left-field in their choices (Lady Gaga, we're looking at you).

Here are the major sartorial talking points from the night...

Beyoncé

In a major coup for the former Pucci designer, Peter Dundas debuted his eponymous collection on none other than Beyoncé, who wore a stunning custom-made gold dress during her performance of Lemonade (and a Jessica Rabbit style red sequinned gown for the ceremony). Proudly accentuating her twin baby bump, the intricate gold design was inspired by Gustav Klimt, art deco motifs and the African sun goddess Oshun, because, why not.

Solange

Not one to be out-done by her big sis, sartorially astute Solange mirrored her in a similar gold one-shouldered design featuring thigh-split and ruffle details.

Jennifer Lopez

The ageless diva sizzled in a lilac Ralph and Russo gown featuring a key-hole cut out, ruffle details and thigh-split. Accessorised with Butani jewels (natch) and Christian Louboutin heels, she proved that she's still got the ability to turn it up on the red carpet 17 years after THAT Versace dress.

Paris Jackson

Paris Jackson upped her fashion game for the Grammys by wearing not one but two show-stopping rainbow looks. The first, a sequinned Balmain gown, featured flattering panelling and a split skirt, while the second, which she wore on stage, was a halterneck with cut-out details (we also love that she ditched the heels and accessorised with a flower in her hair for her appearance, too).

Lady Gaga

After her jaw-dropping performance at the Super Bowl, we were expecting great things from Lady Gaga on the red carpet. We were wrong.

Jason Derulo

Bless Jason Derulo, he's really tried, but we're just not sure this look works. And for God's sake, take your sunglasses off.
