On the same night as Hollywood's brightest talents swapped sunny La La Land for drizzly-with-a-chance-of-snow London for BAFTA's annual celebration of film, the music industry congregated in Los Angeles for one of the biggest nights in its respective calendar: the 59th annual Grammy Awards.

Winning five major awards (succeeding in every category in which she'd been nominated), Adele seemed particularly reluctant to receive the accolade for Best Album, claiming 'I can't possibly accept this award' before describing Beyoncé's Lemonade as her album of the year. Eventually, the singer did a Mean Girls, splitting her trophy in two to share with Bey, 'the artist of [her] life.'

Beyoncé's first performance after her Internet-breaking (double) pregnancy reveal was always going to be one of the night's major talking points. After an introduction from her mother Tina, she took to the stage to perform a pair of songs from Lemonade, 'Love Drought' and 'Sandcastles,' with visuals reminiscent of her maternity photoshoot. Looking on proudly from the crowd were husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy, wearing a Prince-inspired pink tuxedo.

Below are some of the key winners from the night (you can find the full list at www.grammy.com...)
