Nadine Coyle sent viewers into a frenzy on last night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here after she claimed the rumours of a feud between her and Cheryl Cole were ‘fake news’. Many were cynical of her claim that all the women got along given how infrequently they see each other now – and you know, the fact she said they didn’t in an interview in 2017.
The conversation came about when former EastEnders actor Jacqueline Jossa asked Coyle about her experience of being in a girl band. ‘[It was] really good,’ she said. ‘I like being in a girl band. I am one of three sisters and went to an all-girls grammar school so I’m used to being around girls.’
When asked if she got along with everyone, Coyle said ‘yes’ before Jossa brought up the infamous feud with Cole that seemingly went into overdrive after the band split. Doing the Lord’s work, Jossa said, ‘I’d heard you didn’t get on with Cheryl,' to which Nadine replied, 'Fake news.'
Of course, that wasn’t what either of them were saying back in 2013 when the Girls Aloud split was announced. Coyle tweeted at the time ‘You should know by now I had no part in any of this split business. I couldn’t stop them. I had the best time and want to keep going.’ Cole’s response? According to her interview in Attitude magazine, she claimed Coyle was ‘full of shit’.
And in 2017, Coyle spoke up again about how the women didn’t get along, telling The Sun it was because she always got lead vocals and it caused tension.
‘It was fine at the start but there’s always politics in any band,’ she said. ‘It just happened that I always got more vocals than everybody else, so in terms of people wanting their voice heard, that wasn’t happening. And it made people, very bitter. They didn’t like that.
‘It’s so sad for me to have to admit this stuff now because for so long…you want everybody to think we’re best friends and we have pillow fights and drink milkshakes,’ she continued. ‘That’s what I wanted it to be.’
While the idea of not wanting people to pit women against each other is honourable, when disagreements come from a genuine place (and they're not just sexist rumours) that's just life. Nadine, for example, has said on a number of occasions that she and the girls were actually just really different.
'We [had] very, very different personalities as well,' she said on an episode of Living With Lucy. 'If your ideas of having a good time are completely way off, it’s hard to have a good time.'

No good Advice
More attitude than a teenage girl experiencing her first dose of PMS.
See The Day
Circa See The Day, Lily Allen had convinced everyone that vintage prom dresses were cool. How? Who knows. Add in that Amy Winehouse had made the case for peep-toe heels and you can see how this artwork came to life.
Chemistry
Am I looking at the most awkward artistic rendition of Stepford Wives, or is that just me? And can someone please explain why they are using knee-high heeled boots as stockings?
Love Machine
I can practically hear the art director shouting: 'play with your sunglasses more'.
Biology
I call this 'Attack of the Gok Wan styling school'. Those cinched belts and lingerie-inspired outfits may have been aiming for Dolce & Gabbana, but they landed closer to Lipsy.
The Promise
In moments like this, I always feel sorry for Nicole as this is proof that until very recently make-up artists had no clue what do with red heads.
Can't Speak French
Between the powdered make-up, stiff corseting and dodgy Moulin Rouge theme I've come up with a conspiracy theory: this isn't a group shot, it's a work of photoshop mayhem
