It's official! Giovanna Fletcher has become the first celebrity to be crowned Queen of the Castle as I'm A Celebrity held its finale last night. Runner-up Jordan North and third-placed Vernon Kay congratulated her on her win. The three finalists vowed to celebrate, despite the normal glitzy wrap party being off the cards this year.
If anyone's had a wild 2020, it's Giovanna Fletcher. At the beginning of this year, Giovanna scored the guest of a lifetime for her podcast Happy Mum Happy Baby: Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. And now this.
The campmate has had quite the career so far. 35 year old, Giovanna is a - deep breath - author, actress, blogger, vlogger and she has recently presented The Baby Club on CBeebies. She's written not one, not two, but 11 books - and after writing a few fiction novels, in 2017, she published her first non-fiction book, Happy Mum, Happy Baby: My Adventures in Motherhood.
You'll also definitely know who her husband is. Giovanna has been happily married to McFly's Tom Fletcher since 2012. Fun fact: McFly's hit single All About You was actually written about Giovanna as a Valentine's present from Tom in 2004. He even proposed at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, where they both met age 13. (How sweet!)
The couple have three sons: Buzz, Max and Buddy - who friend Emma Willis said Giovanna would miss terribly.
Her podcast Happy Mum Happy Baby is one of her biggest achievements though - and it's so popular that Kate Middleton starred on the show earlier this year. Speaking to Grazia, Giovanna praised the princess for continuing her work speaking on mental health, even during the pandemic. '[Catherine] has carried on doing the work, carried on speaking to people in front of the camera and off,' she said. 'She is so invested in and dedicated to what she does: it’s not for show. It’s her passion, and I think that’s really important.’
