Somebody better run across the Atlantic, and deliver this news to The New York Post pronto, because it appears they are unaware of the phenomenon that has been happening for literally hundreds of years... Women having the audacity to read!

After all, the supermodel siblings have both been recently photographed carrying books.” Look, Bella and Gigi aren’t even reading them! The most beautiful women in the world are merely 'carrying' them for a pap opp to gorgeously compliment their tailored suits. Ooh la la.
Obviously, the internet was quick to point out just how bloody patronising this is, not only for Gigi and Bella - accomplished, savvy women who just happen to be stunning - but to the whole of womankind. Women read. For fun! Sometimes, women even write. (Shock, horror: I am a woman, writing this now!) “Omg thank fuck Bella and Gigi Hadid have made it cool to read again I was scared to take my books out in public,” Roisin O Connor wrote from The Independent. “It's hilarious to think that The New York Post thinking Bella and Gigi hadid are so stupid that there is no fucking way they could be reading these books they are carrying,” somebody else chimed in.
