It was widely reported that George and Amal Clooney are expecting their twins to arrive in the first week of June. Yet a source has revealed to E Online, that Amal could give birth 'any day now'.

And the human rights lawyer has ensured that her husband will be there to witness the birth. On Sunday, George was expected to attend the Aurora Prize for Awaking Humanity event in Armenia, a ceremony which honours the survivors of the Armenian genocide. Yet George skipped the prestigious event to stay at home.

In a taped recording, the 56-year-old gave the reason behind his absence: "I really would have been (there) but if I came there and my wife had twins while I was there, I could never come home."

The A-list couple are currently staying at their home in Sonning where they hope to bring up their children for the first few years of their lives.
