Just when we were starting to lose all hope about the alleged Spice Girls reunion going ahead, it turns out we could actually get to join the band as the fourth or fifth member.
Maybe. Possibly. Potentially.
According to Life & Style magazine, the group are planning to get round the fact that both Victoria Beckham and Mel C have pulled out of a planned 20th anniversary worldwide reunion tour by simply recruiting replacements for the duo.
“It wasn’t a surprise that Victoria would decline the tour, but the girls really hit the roof when Mel C ditched too,” an unnamed source told the magazine.
“The girls are going to be making a formal announcement about tryouts for their spots in the next few weeks. Posh and Sporty can be replaced.”
We had better get practicing.
2016 marks 20 years since the release of Wannabe, and the girls last performed together at the 2012 Olympic closing ceremony.
