Kim Kardashian And Kendall Jenner Claimed KUWTK Is ‘Real’ And ‘Unscripted’, The Emmys Crowd Were Having None Of It

'The audience laughing at the Kardashians talking about “living their lives unscripted” deserves an Emmy.'

It looks like last night’s Emmys crowd weren’t the biggest fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, as Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner experienced a very awkward moment on stage. The sisters, who were presenting the Competition Programme award at the LA ceremony, claimed their reality show was ‘real’ and ‘unscripted’ - which quickly prompted laughter from the audience.

Kim started by telling the crowd, ‘Our family knows first hand how truly compelling television comes from real people, just being themselves.’ And then the laughs began, before Kendall could even add, ‘telling their stories, unfiltered and unscripted.’

However, the professionals carried on with the show, handing the award to RuPaul, for fan favourite RuPaul’s Drag Race.

The internet was quick to notice the awkward atmosphere, as one viewer tweeted, ‘Eeeek. There was a very loud laugh from the audience when Kim Kardashian was presenting. Laughing at her; not with her. It was uncomfortable (and, in my opinion, uncalled for) in the room. #Emmys.’

But, some believed the reality royalty were in on the joke, with another person adding, ‘How about the whole audience just cackling at the idea of the Kardashians being real... even Kim knew it was funny #Emmys.’
