While Stone may be dominating awards season for her part as Mia in hit film, La La Land, her next move will see her swapping the big screen for the little one. Yep, it has been confirmed that the actress of the moment will be the star of new dark-comedy, Maniac.
The straight to Netflix show, based on a 2014 Norwegian series of the same name, will be written by Patrick Somerville and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga.
Starring alongside Stone in the highly anticipated show will be her Superbad co-star, Jonah Hill. Since playing awkward lovers in the 2007 film, the pair have remained close, and Hill presented Stone with her Best Actress gong at the SAG awards earlier this week.
In the new show Stone and Hill play two characters living out fantasy lives while in truth they are actually living in a psychiatric ward.
According to Deadline, filming will commence in New York this August and the 10-episode series will air in 2018. The countdown is on!
