Has Coleen Rooney Really Installed A Bunker In Her House Or Are We Being WAGatha Christie-ed Again?

Coleen and Wayne Rooney are reportedly installing a bunker, underground tunnel and getaway car at their Cheshire mansion in order to ease Coleen’s safety concerns following a 2016 burglary at their home. Naturally, given the sheer ludicrousness of that sentence, we can’t help but think… are we being WAGatha Christie’d again?

The Sun reports that the Rooney’s began installing the state of the art security system this week, providing an aerial shot of their home seemingly under construction. Of course, since the system is being installed underground, you can’t actually see any of it.

However, the publication says the system involves installing a secret button that activates a hidden bunker, where a steel door then allows access to a subterranean tunnel which leads to a room with a toilet, kitchen and security cameras. At the end of the tunnel waits an electric car permanently on standby ready to swoop the Rooney’s away.

Reports say the bunker idea came after a 2016 burglary at their old £6million home left Coleen suffering from sleepless nights fearing for her children’s safety. And so, now they’ve moved into a £20million mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire, they are taking serious precautions with their dream home.

Since neither of the couples representatives have commented on the piece, the information is all speculation right now. But, could Coleen be back up to her old tricks, leaking fake news on her Instagram in an attempt to catch out a snakey friend?

The rumours she leaked when attempting to expose Rebekah Vardy as the mole in her friendship group were certainly just as ludicrous. The Sun reported she was travelling to Mexico to look into gender selection treatments, that she was joining Strictly Come Dancing in 2020 and that the basement of her new mansion had flooded. All of which turned out to be false stories Rooney posted on her Instagram Story with one viewer…….Rebekah Vardy.

So what does this mean? Is she attempting to expose a new mole? Was Vardy in the clear all along? Or, are her and Wayne truly just going full James Bond on their new home?

We’ll have to wait for another iconic notes app reveal to find out. We know what we’re hoping for…the return of WAGatha Christie could not come soon enough.
