Clemmie Hooper's Instagram account has gone on the missing list again, for the second time in as many weeks. Previous to her account appearing to have been deleted she still hadn't posted anything since being exposed as the troll behind her AliceInWanderlust Tattle.Life account.

Whether or not Hooper disabled the account herself isn't clear - it could be that it was disabled for her. If a profile is reported enough times, Instagram will investigate said account and disable it themselves if the profile is in breach of community guidelines. So, it could be that Hooper's account was reported so many times it was taken down. However, since Hooper's trolling was confined to Tattle.Life, it's more likely she disabled her own account.

So, you can delete Instagram without actually deleting it?

Absolutely. Hooper didn't necessarily delete her account, but disabled it - which means your profile, photos, comments and likes are hidden until you reactivate it by logging back in. You can disable your account in the edit profile section of settings.

To permanently delete your account, you have to go to the Instagram Web Page (you can't do it in the app) and find the Delete Your Account page. You must select a reason to delete it, and once done you cannot use your username again or have the account reactivated.

Has she disabled her account before?

Clemmie Hooper disabled her Mother of Daughters Instagram account three weeks after it emerged she was trolling other mummy bloggers anonymously on gossip forum Tattle.Life. At the time, her husband Simon Hooper – also known as Father of Daughters – was posting up a storm at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, even posting a picture alongside Geri Halliwell.

She also disabled her account back in 2018 after people on Mumsnet accused her of exploiting her children for cash.

What happened last time she deleted her account?

Buckle up, there's a lot ot catch up on.

Last month, Clemmie Hooper was exposed as the woman behind AliceInWanderlust, an account she held on Tattle.Life that she used to troll other mums with offensive and racist comments, even trolling her own husband at one point. Since then, she has not been seen online; besides an interview with Kate Lawler’s podcast that was recorded before the scandal broke and went live last week.

Her Instagram account was no longer available to view on the 2nd of December. Her husband Simon, however, continued posting after the news broke – only speaking about his wife’s behaviour once, saying he was ‘angry and a bit sad’ about what she had done and reiterating he had no knowledge of her actions.

Most recently, he was posting a number of Instagram Stories at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which he travelled to with his best friend. Stating in one picture ‘life doesn’t get much better’, he was brushing shoulders with the rich and famous on the trip, posting an image of Lewis Hamilton receiving his trophy. Geri Halliwell can even be spotted next to him.

‘Did anyone else notice the spice girl I’m next to in this one?’ he added to the picture later on. ‘No, I didn’t either until my friend pointed it out.’ Calling his trip an ‘amazing three days’, he is seemingly taking a much-needed holiday to escape what must be a very tense home situation.

‘If there's one thing in life that's as important as family, it's your friends,’ he posted on Instagram before the trip. ‘But as any parent knows, getting time to actually see those friends and indulge your shared passions vanishes quicker than unguarded chocolate around sugar deprived kids. That's why I'm eternally grateful to @etihadairways who have enabled me to take my best mate away… to realise a dream.’

‘The last 48 hours has been jammed packed with bucket list moments that will be etched into the grey matter for eternity,’ he added in another post. ‘Of course I miss my girls, but sometimes I need to do something for me.’

When the Clemmie Hooper scandal broke, Hooper posted the following statement: ‘Earlier this year I became aware of a website that had thousands of comment about my family and I. Reading them made me feel extremely paranoid and affected me much more than I knew at the time.'

She said she created the account to 'change their opinions from the inside to defend my family and I,’ defending her decision to troll other mums by saying 'it became all-consuming and it grew bigger than I knew how to handle. When the users started to suspect it was me, I made the mistake of commenting about others. I regret it all and am deeply sorry - I know this has caused a lot of pain.'

Understandably, her apology did little to appease her followers. However, her husband is seemingly continuing the family brand all on his own, with his Instagram comments filled with adoration for him and the kids.

Will her account be back?

Based on past form, possibly. But, then again, this is the biggest scandal to rock the parenting blogger community in quite some time, so we really can't say.
