After three days of silence,Clemmie Hooper{ =nofollow}’s husband, fellow blogger Simon Hooper, has released a statement about his wife’s actions. Father Of Daughters, as he is known on Instagram, says he had no idea his wife was trolling other mummy bloggers and that he is ‘angry and sad’ about the situation.

He said in a video on Saturday, ‘So after several days of silence I feel I probably need to address what's going on online regarding Clemmie. So if you're interested I've done a post, that's pretty much all I'm going to say about it. I'll leave all the comments up so please feel free to comment. Despite what happens on social media - on this platform or any other platform the real world keeps continuing.’

Then, writing alongside a photo of his dog in the forest, he wrote, ‘Frankly, I'm in a crap position as I only really have 2 options - 1). to stay silent to protect my wife & knowing that if I do, the silence will be deafening or 2). to comment on something I had no knowledge of. It's not a fun place to be. And yet fun is what I can to Instagram for [sic]. I don’t take myself or life too seriously, but when something like this happens I have to acknowledge it and in all honesty, I'm feeling both angry & a bit sad.'

He added, ‘I can't condone or fully understand why Clemmie did what she did. Make no mistake about it - she made some bad choices - I just wish she could have spoken to me about this before it all got too much.'

It comes after the mummy blogger admitted to having written anonymous comments about fellow influencers and bloggers. It's alleged that the site Clemmie is referring to is Tattle.Life, which we wrote about last month after beauty writer Sali Hughes made a public statement about how the website was making her life miserable. You can read our explainer on Tattle.Life here{ =nofollow}. There is currently a petition to have the site removed due to allegations of bullying.
