First, J Lo and Ben Affleck got back together - sending the internet into overdrive when the singer confirmed the rumours on Instagram. But their reunion news was then followed by another relationship announcement, and it was one none of us were expecting... Chrishell Stause dropped the bombshell that she was dating her Selling Sunset boss, Jason Oppenheim. (She decided to announce the news on Instagram because of the 'J Lo effect', she said in the caption on Instagram.)
The new romance is obviously going to shake things up for the next series of Selling Sunset. And, as we're dying to know whether it's real love or a showmance/publicity stunt, we thought there was nobody better to ask than fellow cast member Christine Quinn, who has been in London this week celebrating the launch of her Ciaté make-up line.
When quizzed whether it's the real deal, Christine replied in her typical style: 'I don't know to be honest with you.' In case you missed it, the news was announced with pics of the cast on holiday in Italy, and Christine tells us that while she was on holiday too, she kept on missing the rest of the cast. 'I was in contact with them, but we kept missing each other,' she adds.
While every Selling Sunset fan might have been shocked, Christine insists the rest of the gang knew the pair were dating. 'We all knew it was going on. And then they officially announced it so I was like, "Oh",' she says.
You probably remember Christine and Chrishell aren't exactly the best of friends - after various fallings out throughout the series - but Christine is happy for Jason, her boss and friend. 'Jason and I are dear friends, so I told him I'm really happy for you,' she tells us. 'I do see a different side to Jason that is warm and loving and sweet. And in the office, you'll see him holding my baby and he like, wouldn't get my baby back to me. He has baby fever. I swear.'
But, while she might be pleased for Jason, it doesn't sound like Chrishell and Christine have made up just yet. 'But yeah, I don't know Chrishell's a tough cookie,' she continued. 'I mean, honestly, Jason has always had really good taste in women. But things change, I guess.'
