Celebs Go Dating dating expert Paul C Brunson shocked reality fans yesterday when it was reported he quit the show after an off-screen altercation with one of the celebrities. The latest Big Brother-style series of the show may have come to an end earlier this month, but the drama continues as Paul admitted he almost came to blows with the 'disrespectful' star behind the scenes.

The dating expert was enraged by one of the agency’s celebrities after they were rude to his co-stars Anna Williamson and Tom Read-Wilson, and he posted something on Instagram which sounded like he made the decision to leave the series.

Paul wrote, 'I never like saying goodbye but this time it’s different. Even though I made friends this series of my TV show – Celebs Go Dating: The Mansion – I’ll have for life, and I'm grateful for the opportunity, I was more than happy to leave once we wrapped.'

The US native was forced to leave his family behind in his homeland as he moved to Surrey for 45 days to film the series and admitted, 'Being away from my family for an extended time didn’t work well for me.'

He continued, 'On set, my tolerance for bullsh*t was non existent. The moment I felt someone was acting in the agency, I tuned them out. The second someone hinted at disrespecting Anna, Tom, the crew, or myself, I snapped. For the first time I got into an off camera verbal altercation with a celeb. Real talk, if it wasn’t for daily meditation, exercise and CBD, I would have put my hands on them 😱.'

Following his row with the unnamed celeb, Paul vowed to never be away from his family for more than ten days in a row and many believed Paul had quit the series, but he has now clarified that isn't the case.

'My social post referred only to the end of another great Celebs Go Dating series and my departure back to the States where I was very happy to be reunited with my family who I missed terribly,' he said. 'I wasn’t announcing my departure from the show as some have interpreted it.'

Even though the celebs aren't supposed to date each other, this year, there has been a major success story as DJ Tom Zanetti and Sophie Hermann are still dating.
