Cara Delevingne is a woman a many talents. At just 24-years-old she has stormed every catwalk, landed the most coveted fashion campaigns and conquered Hollywood. Oh yeah, and add singer and pretty good drummer to that list too. No wonder Cara is set to be the focus of an upcoming documentary. We can barely keep up!
Cara’s next challenge? Taking on the literary world. Yes, that’s right. The star revealed she’s written her debut novel on Instagram.
Posing with her fresh manuscript, she shared the ‘pinch me moment’ news with her 37 million (and growing) followers: ‘Announcing my first novel Mirror, Mirror, coming out this October! SO EXCITED!’
It seems apt that her first foray into fiction would be aimed at teens, considering her breakout role was starring in 2015 coming-of-age flick Paper Towns (adapted from John Green’s widely popular YA novel).
Cara explains the story will be focused on a group of 16-year-old friends; Red, Leo, Naima and Rose ‘who are all trying to figure out who they are and navigate the minefield of school and relationships.’
‘I love these characters so much,’ Delevingne adds. ‘I love what they stand for, what this story represents. The process of putting this novel together has been life changing and something I hold really close to my heart.’
