On last night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Caitlyn Jenner opened up about the OJ Simpson murder trial, telling campmates that there’s ‘no way’ Robert Kardashian didn’t know that OJ was guilty of killing his wife Nicole Brown Simpson.

Talking to Kate Garraway and Jacqueline Jossa, Caitlyn was asked about her experience of the trial given that she was married to Kris Jenner at the time. With Kris’s ex-husband, Robert Kardashian, defending OJ – the camp were keen to understand what was really going on behind the scenes.

'I saw Nicole two days before she was murdered,’ Caitlyn said. ‘It was Kris’ best friend, we were right in the middle of it. [Kris'] ex-husband Robert - OJ was the best man at their wedding.

Explaining that she and Kris always knew OJ was guilty, Caitlyn says Nicole warned Kris about OJ.

‘It was a bad time for everybody, very difficult,’ she continued. ‘We knew what happened and this trial was a joke and when the verdict came down Kris just turned around to me and goes: “We should have listened to Nicole from the beginning, she was right.”'

According to Caitlyn, his step-children Kourtney and Kim Kardashian were elated when Simpson was initially acquitted of murder – convinced he didn’t do it unlike their mother. ‘That night the verdict came in Kourtney and Kimberly [Kardashian] were in school and obviously they loved their father - and they should - and they’d been following this for a year and a half,’ she says. 'And when they walked in the door, I think it was Kourtney who said: "Well I told you he didn’t do it."’

‘And I just said to the girls: "Just because he got a not guilty didn’t mean he didn’t do it and I don’t want his name ever mentioned in this house again”’ she continued.

Naturally, our new-favourite interviewer Jacqueline wanted to know more. Asking Caitlyn about Robert Kardashian and whether he really knew what OJ had done, Caitlyn paused before saying ‘I mean, there's just no way he didn't know.'

The admission may not come as a surprise to many, in fact Robert himself told reporters he struggled with believing OJ’s innocence at the time. ‘I have doubts,’ he said in a 1996 interview with ABC. ‘The blood evidence is the biggest thorn in my side; that causes me the greatest problems. So I struggle with the blood evidence’

However, there’s no doubt Caitlyn speaking on the trail and Robert may cause tension in the Kardashian camp.

Caitlyn went on to talk about OJ himself, saying she never liked him as a person. ‘Too big an ego for me,’ she said. ‘We went on some vacations together with OJ and Nicole and the kids. I liked Nicole and she sure didn’t deserve what she got.'
