Brooklyn Beckham has opted for a career change - to a chef. The 22-year-old has tried his hand at football and photography, but his latest break is a web series for Facebook where he cooks meals for his famous friends, like Lil Huddy and David Dobrik.

And, according to reports, it does not come cheap. Sources have told the New York Post that the web series, with instalments as short as 8-minutes, has a budget of $100,000 per episode. And apparently, there are 62 people working behind the scenes.

It's fair to say it's not exactly getting the best reviews, mostly because Brooklyn doesn't actually cook. (Although in fairness, in the trailer he does say he is only learning how to be a 'great chef'.) In the latest episode, he makes fish and chips, updated by putting sea bream topped with a hash brown and coleslaw into a bagel. But he doesn't cook the fish, or the hash brown, and doesn't know how long it'll take to cook. He does spread aioli mayonnaise on the bagel, though. Credit where credit is due.

Apparently the reason that so much money is being thrown at the series is because of the Beckham's family friend, TV chef Gordon Ramsay. A source continued: 'Now, with cooking, he has Gordon Ramsay as a family friend. Gordon advised to them to put as much money into it as they could.'

It's not the first time Brooklyn has shown an interest in cooking. In October last year, a video of him assembling a breakfast sandwich on the Today show went viral. He said that he got into his new hobby because of his fiancé Nicola Peltz. 'I've always loved food and obviously when quarantine hit I just really started to get into it,' he said. 'My fiancé started filming me and I started posting it and it's just something I love doing.'
