After 13 years, Britney Spears’ conservatorship ended for good in November 2021. While the Princess of Pop is finally free to live her life on her own terms, some fans are worried that she is still struggling based on her recent Instagram pictures.
Over the last few days Britney has posted several images of herself almost naked to Instagram. She captioned one of the worrying image carousels ‘Photo dump of the last time I was in Mexico BEFORE there was a baby inside me… why the heck do I look 10 years younger on vacation?’ Because of the amount of posts, fans of the singer have begun to worry about her wellbeing and the state of her mental health.
One fan commented, ‘Love you Brit, but it’s time to take it down a notch with the naked pics on social media.’ Another wrote, ‘Her eyes look like they are screaming out for someone to help her. There is no life in them.' While a third said, ‘Don’t encourage her this isn’t normal behaviour. I think we should all be worried for her.’
However, other fans view Britney's social media as an expression of her long-awaited freedom. One fan hit back to the concerns in the comments: ‘For years Britney was forced to be silent and controlled against her will so others could gain money and power. They tried to destroy her, but she’s resilient. If she wants to pose naked, then that’s her right. If it makes you uncomfortable good!’
Britney’s social media posts – particularly those on Instagram – have previously raised concerns from fans. Many worry about who is really there for her and advising her. They also questions whether social media is the best place for her to be right now. In December 2021, she shared a video of herself dancing on Instagram. In the video, Spears repeatedly twirled around and smiled at the camera. The singer also posted a lengthy caption on the Instagram post.
She wrote, 'The last dance I posted was from months ago … this post is from a day before yesterday !!!! I would have posted it yesterday but I got a cold … I feel better now !!!! I’m way smaller since this summer … as you can see … I dance a lot now … sometimes 3 hours a day and I do Zumba classes too.'
Britney’s fiancé, Sam Asghari, recently announced that their wedding date ‘has been set.’ In celebration of Mother’s Day in the US, the actor wished Britney a ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ and confirmed their upcoming nuptials. ’ Our lives has been a real-life fairy tale,’ he wrote on Instagram. 'Happy Mother’s Day to my soon-to-be queen.' Adding, 'Also the big day has been set,' revealing that 'nobody will know until the day after.'
Earlier this year, Britney, who is currently pregnant, called Asghari her 'husband' on Instagram. This led fans to speculate that the pair already tied the knot in secret. However, his recent comment now confirms that the big day is still to arrive.
