2016 has been a big year for Brie Larson. Bagging the Best Actress Oscar in February, announced to play Captain America in Marvel’s first ever female-led superhero film and has every major fashion designer lining up to dress her for numerous red carpet appearences (no doubt a big campaign will soon ensue). Oh yeah, and she’s still only 26-years-old(!).

And to now add to the Californian-born star’s growing CV, she’s now stepping behind the camera. It’s been reported by Variety that Miss Larson will star in, produce, and make her directorial debut on the comedy Unicorn Store.

An interesting move for Hollywood’s latest ‘It’ girl who has made a name for herself in tearful drama’s from the award winning Room to 2013 indie Short Term 12. More recently, she's also cemented her status as the new badass action star to watch on-screen, with the hotly-tipped Kong: Skull Island up next.

According to insider movie sources Unicorn Store is written by up and coming screenwriter Samantha McIntyre and centred on a woman who moves back in with her parents only to receive a puzzling invitation to a store.

Although she probably won’t need to take any improv comedy classes to prep for her performance – after supporting roles in 21 Jump Street and playing Amy Schumer’s sister in Trainwreck last year.

Hilarious, multi-talented and could take on any superhero in a fight…

Brie we love you.
