It's been a great year so far for Room star Brie Larson, who has just got engaged to her long-term boyfriend Alex Greenwald.
Her rep has confirmed that Alex, the former frontman of band Phantom Planet (who are best known for providing the theme song to classic teen drama The OC), proposed to the Oscar winning actress during a trip to Tokyo in March.
Brie was pictured wearing her new diamond engagement ring while hosting US comedy show Saturday Night Live, and was accompanied to the after party by her fiancé.
The couple have been dating since 2013, and Alex accompanied Brie to a clutch of high profile events throughout this year's awards season. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Brie said: 'He's the other half of the equation – how can you explain support? I mean, it goes beyond anything. He's just my person, he's my best friend.'
