There are only four days left until we return to the ton! The highly anticipated second season of Bridgertonis nearly here. If, like us, you just can't wait any longer for its return - we have some behind the scenes gems to keep you entertained.
While the Bridgerton balls are always incredibly elegant, according to Jonathan Bailey not every scene went quite as gracefully. He admits, 'There were multiple embarrassing moments on set.'
Jonathan explained that that it was a particular fencing scene that had complications. 'Obviously, the costumes were incredible across the board and as men we didn’t have to worry about restricted clothing like the women in their corsets. However, the fencing outfits were quite tight in various places.' He continues, 'On the day of the fencing sequence, we were wearing plimsoles on grass and it was a very dewy morning. As I was going into for my final lunge with Benedict [Bridgerton], my crotch ripped and it’s all captured on camera!' Jonathan says, 'There was that moment when I suddenly realised, I was being filmed by four different cameras and sort of screamed...it was just so embarrassing!'
And no, much to viewers disappointment it didn't make the final cut in the show, the editors for spared him on this occasion. The Bridgerton cast have also revealed that the most likely to break character and laugh during a take was Jonathan, or anyone filming with Jonathan. We sense a theme ...

So, although we are sad to know we won't see the relationship between Daphe and Simon this season, it's good to know Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) will still be around.

Well, this is quite a powerful image. From this alone we can foresee Kate will be a very strong female lead, and we are all for it.
