It’s been reported that Brad Pitt threatened to sue the organisers of the Straight Pride movement in America, after they used the actor as one of the organisation’s ‘mascots’ without his permission.

The organisation Super Happy Fun America - who have been ridiculed for planning a march in Boston in August - had listed Pitt as a mascot on their website, stating, ‘Congratulations to Mr Pitt for being the face of this important civil rights movement.’ Obviously, Brad isn’t happy about his association - and TMZare reporting that his representatives have threatened to sue the group. The threat seemed to have worked, as his name has now been removed from the site.

People across the world have condemned the group, with many celebrities sharing their thoughts on Twitter. Captain America star Chris Evanswrote on the website, ‘Wow! Cool initiative, fellas!! Just a thought, instead of ‘Straight Pride’ parade, how about this: The ‘desperately trying to bury our own gay thoughts by being homophobic because no one taught us how to access our emotions as children’ parade? Whatta ya think? Too on the nose?' Star Trek actor George Takei wrote, 'They're planning a "straight pride" parade in Boston, presumably to commemorate that historic moment when courageous heterosexual frat bros finally stood up to the gay cops who had been harassing and arresting them for decades.'
