Every true Beyoncé fan knows that interviews with Queen B come few and far between, so we were pretty excited to see the ‘Formation’ star on the cover of Garage magazine – a matter of weeks after her scene-stealing appearance at the Super Bowl.

The interactive cover feature includes images of Bey (who looked 'Flawless' as ever, of course) reimagined by artist Urs Fischer, who has covered the portraits in dramatic swirls of paint. The best bit, though, is a series of quotes and thoughts from Ms. Knowles, covering everything from art to Beyoncé's reading list.

She's clearly pretty clued up when it comes to feminist literature ('Flawless' famously includes a spoken word sample from Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche's essay, 'We Should All Be Feminists'), but what's the one book that Bey thinks every girl should read?

'I would love for my younger fans to read What Will It Take To Make A Woman President? by Marianne Schnall,' she said. 'It's a collection of interviews and essays by great women, including Maya Angelou, Gloria Steinhem and Melissa Etheridge. They will inspire you to become a better leader.' Amazing female authors and the Beyoncé seal of approval? We're adding it to our Amazon basket right now.

When it comes to female role models, the singer cited her mother Tina as her biggest hero, explaining that 'she has taught me everything about caring for others, working hard and working smart [...] My mother has instilled confidence in my sister and me and taught us to always be grateful.' She added that her proudest moment was giving birth to her daughter, Blue Ivy. That's definitely not a tear in our eye, we're just allergic to our mascara...

Anyone else think that Beyoncé should join forces with Emma Watson's feminist book club?
