Beyoncé Knowles has penned a letter reflecting on her 'monumental year' that she published on her website to celebrate her 37th birthday. In it, she looks back on all the wonderful achievements she's made during the past 12 months and, to be quite honest, it's made us feel extremely lazy and inadequate (even more so than her incredible family holiday photos did).

If you thought you'd had a productive, rewarding and successful year, trust us, you've got nothing on Bey.

The letter, entitled 'Your Bitch At 36', begins: “At 36, I became a mother of three. I breastfed twins. I renewed vows with my husband of ten years.”

She then writes: “I came back home to the stage to do Coachella, after pregnancy. Then my husband and I released our album together, Everything is Love. And we’ve been touring with our whole family around the world, and loving it."

She goes on to express her gratitude for all that has happened since her last birthday, writing: “This year has been monumental for me. I thank God for everyone in my life. Thank you for all the positivity and for the beautiful birthday wishes. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn from my past, living in the present and surrendering to the future.”

The letter is signed off with a thank you to her fans, known as the Bey Hive: “I love you, Hive. B.”

Beyoncé, who turned 37 on Tuesday (4 September), gave birth to twins Rumi and Sir in June of last year. They are her second and third children with husband Jay Z. They are also parents to Blue Ivy, who is six years old.
