Beyoncé’s Mum Reveals The Meaning Behind The New Album

Yes, we’re still talking about Lemonade.

Tina Knowles & Beyonce

Just when we thought we’d read just about every theory behind Beyoncé’s Lemonade, which appears to be about cheating and betrayal, Bey’s mum (aka Ms Tina) has thrown her tuppence worth into the mix.

"People make it all about the cheating and betrayal and, yes, that's a part of it because that is something you have to heal from,” said Ms Tina.

"If you really listen to the poetry it is one of hope and redemption and hopefully that can be healing for people."

“[People will relate to it if they’ve been] betrayed and lied to and it’s about the pain. And it’s about the healing process”.

“It's about how do you get past that and move on."

So forget ‘Becky with the good hair’ for a minute. This album is about hope. Because mum said so.
