First, there was Lemonade and the very unsubtle hints towards infidelity.
Then, she unexpectedly cancelled a Formation tour date in Nashville.
And then, at a time when the eyes of the world's media would be upon her, she turned up at the Met Ball – the most prestiguous event in the fashion calendar – not only late (so, literally, all eyes on her) but also ALONE.
WHAT is going on?!
Dressed in a Givenchy, nude, latex dress, Beyonce smiled for the cameras and gave no indication that anything might be the matter.
Which leads us to believe that, off the back of the monumental success of Lemonade, perhaps she felt she didn't need a date. She's the ultimate Independent Woman after all, and there's not a chance she can't work a red carpet solo.
Which, of course, she absolutely did.
So as long as everything's ok, it's bravo Queen Bey, bravo!
