Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's bromance is the stuff of legend, while Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake have been saying nice stuff about each other since... well, since the Mickey Mouse Club. Now the two pairs of friends have reunited on the biggest night of the Awards Season calendar, at the Oscars.
Affleck and Damon took to the stage to announce the winner of Best Original Screenplay - the same award that they won 19 years ago for their debut Good Will Hunting. The prize went to Manchester By The Sea's Kenneth Lonergan, with the film not only starring Affleck's younger brother Casey (who also took home Best Actor) but was also produced by Damon.
Meanwhile, Gosling and Timberlake were spotted greeting each other in the auditorium before the awards ceremony began, with the two clearly happy to be reunited. During Timberlake's opening performance of his Trolls hit 'Can't Stop The Feeling' he even placed a hand on Gosling's shoulder, while a million girl's hearts melted.
The former Mickey Mouse Club co-stars have always had nice things to say about each other, and Gosling even lived with Timberlake for a time when his mother had to return to Canada during filming.
There was some concern that the two had fallen out after Timberlake told The Hollywood Reporter in February that the two 'We aren't the closest of friends, for whatever reason'. Seems like that's not the case, after all. Phew!
